ReplyDeleteI just watched the movie, "The Bishop's Wife" on TV. What a stunning job Loretta Young did in that movie. Her grace and beauty is coupled with such a strong inner beauty. Designers must have loved her as she would look fantastic in anything she wore. What a tiny waist!
ReplyDeleteAlso, what a team that worked on that movie -- that was a treat to watch!
I am so happy and proud to be a member of this website honoring Loretta Young. She has always been a family favorite. Love collecting her fashion photos as well as photos of her in beautiful maturity in her later years. A classy woman all the way!
ReplyDeleteLoretta Young and my mother, Margaret Bryson Wurmser, looked exactly alike. My mom was Miss Youngs double in movies. All of Miss Young's exquisite photos generate love as did my mother's. They will always be beautiful inside and outside.

I saw the Loretta Young show on the EWTN network playing a very strong willed wise and beautiful nun. It was great. Better then anything that is on tv now. This woman was amazing. The best part of career to me was her portrayal of the Bishops Wife with Grant and Niven.Grace and beauty that transcends time and space. Thank you Loretta Young where ever you are in God's kingdom.
ReplyDeleteI will start by saying I am a great fan of Loretta Young and I love all of her films. My favourites are Call of the Wild, Love is News and Key to the City. She is both beautiful and gracious. I just watched Call of the Wild today! I have read both her book autobiography and the biography of her daughter Judy who I am also a real fan of. Both books touched my heart such lovely people. I admire both of them. Imagine what it would have been like to meet either of them! This web site is completely lovely!
